This is a quality scarf made from 100% lambswool. Descended from Normans who accompanied William the Conqueror in his invasion of England in 1066, they later settled in Scotland and became firmly identified with the cause of the nation's freedom and independence. The great warrior King, Robert the Bruce, achieved victory over the English at the battle of Bannockburn in 1314, while his descendant James Bruce of Kinnaird, near Stirling, was a famous explorer and writer who travelled to Abyssinia and the source of the Blue Nile in the 18th century.
Measures 12.5" by 60" (with 3" fringe on each end).
