Tea Towels.......Some of you may know, Mother, in her spare time, likes to paint, write poetry and draw illustration cartoon characters. Shown in the photo is "Shuggie The Haggis Hunter" and "A Scottish Warrior" which are now available on tea towels. These are being distributed to various retail outlets throughout Scotland by D&C Supplies Ltd. We have some in stock at the shop at the moment. We are delighted to be a stockist of Stan Fachie Art. Stan is a local artist here in Aberdeen who specialises in painting  Aberdeen scenes, well known landmarks and places around the city and shire. Stan's attention to detail in his works is quite breathtaking. Have a walk round the landmarks of Aberdeen then come and view his work and you will see for yourself the fine detail and time that goes into his work. We have in the shop a selection of his works, prints and framed. The prints are A3 size and also available to purchase online.

We will be open on Sundays during December on the run up to Christmas from 12pm to 4pm. The dates are 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd. 

We will be closed early on Tues 2nd Oct at 12pm to carry out some maintenance work in the shop. We will resume normal hours on Wed 3rd

Well, if you read our last blog, what a fantastic summer it has been so far!!! We have been very very lucky with the weather, can't remember the last time we had it so good for so long, it's sunshine all the way! As the weather has been great, we have managed to get out a few times at the Aberdeen Beach front with the Scotland's Bothy Pop Up Shop. It really has been great fun, doesn't feel like working at all when you are set up down the beach on a scorching day, it's great to see everyone buzzing about enjoying the fantastic weather of late. We have a fantastic view of the sea from the Pop Up Shop, saw the dolphins swim past a few times, the kayakers too, oh, and also the wild swimmers, you see them swimming past with their visibility floats behind them, maybe next time we can tempt the swimmers and kayakers up for a browse in the shop lol.  We keep an eye out for wind speeds down at the beach front, that is the only thing we have to worry about, if it's too windy then unfortunately it is no use for the Pop Up structure, if the wind gets up to about 20mph then unfortunately that puts a stop to things but so far so good. Hopefully we will be operating down at the beach front again this Sunday 29th July 10am to 3pm. Keep an eye out on our facebook page & instagram where we keep you up to date with this. Hey guys, how you all keeping?!!!  We have decided to launch the Scotland's Bothy Pop Up Shop. We will be operating here in Aberdeen to start off down at the beach front. This will depend on the weather so we are keeping our fingers crossed for a cracking summer. Our shop on George Street will be open as usual but you will also find our Pop Up Shop making the odd appearance down at the Aberdeen Beach Front. You will find us near the South Tunnel, on the upper walkway, just across from the Broad Hill and the Driving Range. If the weather is kind to us this weekend then we are hoping to launch this on Sunday 29th April, we will just have to wait and see what the weather brings. So, anyway, if you have read this post and plan to be at the beach that day then please do pop in past and say hello!
