WORK No. JMC003 One-of-One Ornamental Sgian Dubh & Soild Oak Wall Plaque
The third completed piece in the collection of individually handcrafted works.
This sgian dubh incorporates a hand carved solid oak wood handle laser engraved with the details of Aberdeen FC's historic victory in the 1983 European Cup Winners' Cup final, where they defeated Real Madrid 2-1 after extra time. The handle is also engraved with the iconic "One Love" logo, expressing allegiance to Aberdeen FC & The North East of Scotland. The sgian dubh (removeable) comes mounted upon a solid oak plaque individually shaped, sanded and finished with oil. A well known alternative version of the song "The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen" is engraved upon the plaque, a firm favourite of the Pittodrie Faithful. The oak plaque is also engraved and numbered to the rear, dated and signed by the maker with the makers mark.
