"For as long as but a hundred of us remain alive" a piece of Scottish history taken from the Declaration of Arbroath 1320

WORK No. 001 One-of-One Ornamental Sgian Dubh
The first completed piece in my collection of individually handcrafted works.
Made from Scottish red deer antler, solid oak and individually machined 316 stainless steel.
The matching oak sheath has been carved, bonded and  shaped by hand, with each side  individually engraved.
The blade is intentionally unsharpened and the piece is made as an ornamental and collectible object rather than a functional cutting knife.
Comes beautifully presented with a slate presentation plaque engraved with the famous passage taken from The Declaration of Arbroath. The slate plaque is also engraved and numbered to the rear, dated and signed by the artist.
